An Izard County man has been arrested for the rape of a minor female. Thirty-year-old Ezekiel Kipfer of the Melbourne area is facing two counts of rape and one count of second-degree sexual assault.
According to the probable cause affidavit from the Izard County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened Tuesday morning involving a 13-year-old female at a house in Melbourne. An adult at the house learned of the incident that afternoon and called law enforcement but Kipfer left before they arrived.
Kipfer was found at a house in Oxford in the early morning hours Wednesday and taken into custody. During questioning, he admitted to the rape. He told investigators he and the victim had engaged in sexually inappropriate conversations via cellphone for several days leading up to the incident.
Kipfer is being held in the Izard County Jail on $250,000 bond.
