The Twin Lakes area started seeing signs of Hurricane Beryl early Monday afternoon with scattered showers pushing into the area. The National Weather Service (NWS) in North Little Rock says that remnants of Hurricane Beryl will be moving across Arkansas from Monday evening into Tuesday producing heavy rainfall throughout the state. Total rainfall amounts of 2 to 5 inches are possible, though locally higher amounts may be seen over portions of western into north-central Arkansas. The higher rainfall amounts have lead to growing concern over the possibility of flooding.

KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot News spoke with NWS meteorologist Erik Green Monday evening and he says the tornado threat is low, but there is risk for heavy rainfall leading to the possibility of flash flooding.
