
A longtime nurse for the Yellville-Summit School District has earned a statewide honor. Laura Hobbs has been named the Arkansas School Nurse Administrator of the Year by the Arkansas School Nurses Association. Hobbs was recognized at the National Association of School Nurses annual conference in Chicago recently.
Hobbs says she was very surprised when she found out she won the statewide award.

Hobbs started her nursing career 30 years ago as an OB nurse at Baxter Regional Hospital and then worked at the Arkansas Department of Health. She has spent the last 20 years as the school nurse at Yellville-Summit.
