Four local charities have been selected as beneficiaries for the Arvest Bank 28th Annual Charity Golf Tournament which will take place August 24 at Big Creek Golf Course in Mountain Home.
Each year, a local “Charity of the Year” is selected from Baxter, Boone and Marion counties to receive proceeds from the tournament. This year, Into the Light and Baxter Day Service Center was selected for Baxter County, Children’s Charity Ministry was selected for Boone County and Yellville-Summit School District Backpack Program was selected for Marion County.
Last year, the tournament raised $18,000 for local charities.
