High school football makes up much of the local Friday schedule, and Mountain Home will transition from its new rivalry last week to one of the state’s oldest rivalries this week. The Bombers will have their first road test of the season as they meet Harrison.
Mountain Home is currently 1-0 on the season. The Bombers started the campaign last week by winning the inaugural Battle of the Border over West Plains. Harrison brings a mark of 0-1 into the game. The Goblins ended up losing to Branson in the Pella Windows and Doors Border Battle on Saturday after it was suspended last Friday night due to lightning.
Mountain Home head coach Steve Ary says this is a game that’s always circled on the schedule, and he’s hoping his team will go into it with momentum from last week.
