
Mountain Home had mixed results on Monday as they sent three junior high volleyball teams to Jonesboro for an outing with Nettleton.
The Junior Lady Bombers took the varsity match in straight sets as defeated the Junior Lady Raiders with scores of 23-25, 25-21 and 16-14. Dawson Harper led Mountain Home with seven kills, 16 digs and an ace; Eliana Pepin had seven kills, six dig, a block and an ace; Macy Farris and Maycie Carlson each recorded six kills; Jocelyn Green added three kills and two blocks; Violet Daugherty finished with 26 assists and 10 digs; Shayn Wickersham ended up with 21 digs and two aces; and Fiona Everett had six digs and four aces. The Junior Lady Bombers improve to 7-1 on the season and 5-0 in the Northeast Arkansas Conference.
The junior high match ended in a split as the two teams play two sets. Mountain Home won the first set 25-22, and Nettleton took the second 25-16. The Junior J.V. Lady Bombers were led by Layla Uchtman with four kills and three digs; Kailyn Pope chipped in four kills; Joslin Haney recorded two kills; Zoey Throckmorton finished with 13 digs; and Avery Carson ended up with five assists, three digs and an ace. Mountain Home’s record is now 3-1-1.
The evening began with the Seventh Grade Lady Bombers falling in straight sets. Nettleton posted scores of 25-8 and 25-11.
