The Mountain Home Lady Bombers volleyball teams left the Pioneers in the dust on their home turf sweeping Batesville Tuesday evening. All 5 teams for Mountain Home were in play for the road trip to Independence County.
The 7th grade team started the night with a 2-0 victory followed by the junior high junior varsity team also defeating Batesville 2-0. The junior high varsity team continued the momentum with a sweeping 2-0 win.
The junior varsity team took the win with a score of 25-21. Maddie Simmons had 5 digs, Kori Scroggins had 3 digs, Ava Jones had 6 assists, 2 dig and Aleigh Lucas had 3 kills.
The Lady Bombers varsity team had to complete all 5 sets to defeat the home team. Mountain Home started looking unsteady with 2 straight losses initially but then came back with 3 consecutive wins to close out the night. Micayla Magis posted 19 assists, 14 digs, 4 aces, Annyston Crooker had 6 kills with Cara Jackson posting 22 assists, 12 digs, 4 aces.
