MHHS boys’ golf team wins, girls finish 2nd at Cyclone Invitational

The Mountain Home High School golf teams and Flippin’s boys were at Russellville Country Club on Wednesday for the Cyclone Invitational.

The Bombers won the boys’ side with a team total of 300, five strokes ahead of Russellville. The Bobcats finished third at 324.

Mountain Home had the only two golfers shooting better than par. Cody Cormican won the medalist honor with a two-under-par 69, and teammate Ian Ellison was tied for second place with the Cyclones’ Riley Davis at one stroke back. Braxton Blagg ended up tied for seventh with an 80.

Flippin’s top two golfers finished in a tie for fifth place. Hudson Lindsey and Tucker Thompson both shot a 79.




The Lady Bombers took second place in the girls’ team standings with a total of 312. Abby Edens led Mountain Home as she was fourth with a 92, Anna Torres ended up sixth with a 108, and Ashley Smith took eighth place with a 112.
