Police are investigating a fatal crash involving three vehicles that occurred Thursday morning in Springfield.
The collision took place around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Grand and West Bypass, temporarily shutting down the area.
According to investigators, one driver made a left turn onto Grand Avenue directly in front of two northbound vehicles on West Bypass. The turning vehicle collided with one of the northbound cars, and the third driver swerved to avoid the crash, ultimately hitting the median.
Authorities confirmed that one driver died at the scene, while two others from the second vehicle were rushed to the hospital by emergency crews.
