Three area high school basketball teams played their final games in the Big Springs Conference Tournament Saturday at Summersville.
Bakersfield’s boys captured the championship trophy in their first year in the conference. The Lions defeated Eminence 61-50.
The Bakersfield girls also played in the championship game, but they had a different result. The Lady Lions fell to Alton 55-32.
Dora’s girls finished in fifth place in the tournament. The Lady Falcons invoked the mercy rule as they routed Koshkonong 73-41.
The Gainesville boys ended up in sixth place in the Sparta Trojans Tournament. The Bulldogs lost the consolation final to the host school 48-42.
Gainesville’s girls took seventh place in the Seymour Bank Winter Classic. The Lady Bulldogs squeaked by Laquey 31-29.
