After a season in which he broke two school records, a member of the Mountain Home High School football team has made his decision play on the collegiate level official. Bomber senior running back Jacob Chenoweth recently signed his national letter of intent to attend Evangel University in Springfield.
Chenoweth’s new records came in the form of 1,856 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns in helping Mountain Home advance to the semifinals of the Class 6A State Playoffs for the first time since 2006. He ended up being named to the All-State team and the All-Arkansas Preps second team, and he was also a finalist for the Farm Bureau Insurance Class 6A Offensive Player of the Year Award.
Chenoweth will be joining an Evangel program that went 8-2 this past season. The Valor compete as a member of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference in the NAIA.
