While Yellville-Summit’s baseball team suffered an 11-4 loss to Mountain View on Thursday, one of its members had a big moment. Jonah Sutterfield wore No. 50 in rememberance of his father, Jeff, and hit his first high school home run.

Norfork had another successful day on the baseball diamond on Thursday. The Panthers ended up with a 14-4 victory over Calico Rock.

Flippin came away with another conference win on the road. The Bobcats shut out Bergman by a final of 19-0.

Viola had a rough outing as they went across the state line. The Longhorns suffered a 6-1 loss at the hands of Winona.

Bakersfield had a dominating performance as they went on the road. The Lions routed Alton 11-1.

Marshall ended up with a tough evening in Imboden. The Bobcats fell to Sloan-Hendrix 22-6.

Ozark Mountain was able to sweep a doubleheader over Alpena at Harrison. The Bears squeaked by the Leopards 6-5 in the opener. The late game ended with Ozark Mountain topping Alpena 12-8.

In softball, Yellville-Summit suffered a conference loss on its home field. The Lady Panthers lost to Mountain View 5-3.

Calico Rock also ended up with a home conference defeat. The Lady Pirates fell to Greers Ferry West Side 21-7.

Bakersfield was able to win a high-scoring game on the road. The Lady Lions got past Mountain View-Liberty 20-17.

Salem was able to remain unbeaten in conference play. The Lady Greyhounds breezed past Cave City 14-4.

Izard County ended up with an easy conference win in front of its home crowd. The Lady Cougars pounded Cedar Ridge 18-8.

Marshall’s softball team also went to Imboden and suffered the same result as their baseball counterparts. The Lady Bobcats lost to Sloan-Hendrix 8-3.
