Baseball and softball are included on the local Wednesday schedule as district tournaments continue.
The 3A-2 District Baseball Tournament will hold its semifinal round at Cave City. Melbourne and Valley Springs get underway at 4, and Flippin faces the host Cavemen at 6:30.
Izard County’s baseball team returns to Sloan-Hendrix High School in Imboden for the semifinals of the 2A-2 District Tournament. The Cougars take on the host Greyhounds at 6:15.
Cave City will also be the host school for the semifinals of the 3A-2 District Softball Tournament. Salem plays Mountain View at 4, and Yellville-Summit will be paired with Melbourne at 6.
The 1A-2 District Softball Tournament will get underway at Viola. The host Lady Longhorns face Shirley at 1, and the winner takes on Concord at 5. Calico Rock plays Greers Ferry West Side at 3.
Two area softball teams will be at Sloan-Hendrix High School in Imboden for the semifinals of the 2A-2 District Tournament. Marshall will be matched up with Tuckerman at 4, and Izard County faces the host Lady Greyhounds at 5:45.
