Going to an organization she volunteered at, the Arvest Foundation is honoring longtime associate Jackye Swyers’ memory with a $5,000 donation to Have a Heart Pet Shelter.
The funds will be used to provide updates the animal shelter’s “cattery,” allowing the cats to enjoy the outdoors while still being inside the shelter. Additional funds will also be used to purchase new laptops for the low-cost spay and neuter clinic.
Layton Lee, loan manager for Arvest Bank – North Arkansas, says “Jackye was an incredible part of the Arvest family for over 30 years, and her dedication extended to her volunteer work with the shelter cats. We’re proud to help support a worthy cause and honor Jackye’s compassionate spirit at the same time.”
Have a Heart Pet Shelter is a non-profit and organization in Yellville which relies on contributions and volunteers to help provide adoption services.
Linda Vincent, shelter manager at Have a Heart, says “Thanks to the Arvest Foundation for the wonderful memorial in honor of Jackye, who was a tireless volunteer in our cattery after her retirement.”
