
The Mountain Home American Legion MacLeod baseball team split on the road with West Plains Tuesday night in a couple high hitting games.
West Plains bested the visiting MacLeod team in the opener with a final score of 18-10. In the high hitting game the visitors scored six runs on three hits in the top of the fourth. Camden Payne drew a walk, scoring one run, Cole Tilton singled, scoring two, Drew Longino singled, scoring one, and Grady Pitcock double scoring two more runs.
MacLeod was able to get the edge in the final game with a score of 11-4. On the mound Will Morris gave up zero hits and striking out two in an inning of scoreless ball.
The American Legion team’s record stands at 5-6 for the season as they look to welcoming Bakersfield to Mountain Home for a noon game Thursday.
