Day 1 of Mickey Huskey Classic ends in wins for MacLeod; Lockeroom

Day one of the 2025 Mickey Huskey Lockeroom Twin Lakes Classic Tournament ended with a pair of wins for the Mountain Home American Legion teams as 8 teams faced off.

MacLeod opened the tournament at noon Thursday defeating Bakersfield 6-4. Jasper Mott earned the win for Macleod allowing six hits and three runs. Eli Cotter took the loss for Bakersfield on the mound. MacLeod ties their record to 6-6 on the season.

Jefferson City routed St. Peters 14-7 and Ponototoc took the win from Bartelsville in a low scoring game of 3-2.

Lockeroom faced Southern Elevator out of Oklahoma City in the final matchup with a win of 12-4. Finley Chafin singled, scoring one run helping Lockeroom jump into the lead followed by Lincoln Sherry’s single and three runs scored. Ian Ellison earned the win for Lockeroom striking out five and walking six. Lockeroom improves to 15-2 on the season.
