Mountain Home swim team wins home meet

The Mountain Home Hurricane swim team won its home meet Saturday, finishing with 2,102 points. The Shark Waves of Jonesboro placed second, followed by Pocahontas in third and Harrison in fourth.

Individual winners for Mountain Home included Evelyn Morris in the 9–10 50 freestyle and Benny Vetter in the 15–18 boys 50 freestyle. Liam McKee claimed three victories in the 9–10 division, winning the 50 backstroke, 100 freestyle, and 50 butterfly. William Neiss won the 11–12 50 backstroke.

Zoe Casey and Caleb Due won the 100 backstroke for senior girls and boys, respectively. Due also won the senior boys 100 freestyle.

Bryce Kaye took first in the 13–14 200 individual medley. Elijah Jones won both the 13–14 100 freestyle and the 100 butterfly, the latter in his first attempt at the event. Autumn Hill and JW Bailey won the 100 breaststroke in the 13–14 division, while Emma Miller won the 11–12 50 butterfly.
