A Stone County man has been arrested on sex charges involving a 14-year-old girl, including two counts of rape. Twenty-one-year-old Justin Chase Hearn of Mountain View was on probation for another sex crime committed last year in Pope County and is a registered sex offender.
According to the probable cause affidavit from the Stone County Sheriff’s Office, Hearn is the son of the victim’s mother’s boyfriend. The victim’s mother found Hearn in bed with her daughter who was partially clothed. She also said Hearn took bed linens with him when he left.
When investigators went to Hearn’s residence, they found a blanket that had been taken from the victim’s house. Hearn’s father was there and said “We knew Justin was going to prison this time.”
During questioning, the victim said she and Hearn had intercourse three times. She said she didn’t tell him no, but she didn’t feel like she had a choice.
Hearn is facing two counts of rape and one count of sexual indecency with a child. He is being held in the Stone County Jail with bond set at $200,000.
Hearn was arrested last year in Pope County on a charge of fourth degree sexual assault for having sex with someone under the age of 16. He was sentenced to 72 months of probation in a plea deal when he agreed to plead guilty to the charge. He was also ordered to register as a sex offender.
