MacLeod splits doubleheader with Ava

In the first of two matchups yesterday, MacLeod fell to Ava with a final of 5 to 1. Jasper Mott took the loss for Mountain Home, he threw three and two-thirds innings, giving up two runs on four hits. Noah Davis, Owen Morris, Bryce Springfield and Rowan Askew all tallied one hit in the loss.

In the nightcap, MacLeod was able to bounce back with a 16 to 2 win. Drew Longino drove in five runs on three hits including a three-run triple and two doubles. Grady Pitcock picked up the win for MacLeod. The righty gave up one hit and two runs over two innings, striking out four and walking four. Longino and Askew lead the team with three hits each.

MacLeod will travel to Springdale on Thursday.
