MH Mayor says city remains in the spotlight at statewide convention

Members of the Mountain Home City council, clerks, the mayor and administrators just wrapped up their time in Little Rock as part of the 91st Arkansas Municipal League State Convention. The three day annual event held at the Statehouse Convention Center saw over 570 municipalities from around the state get together to share ideas, network, advocate and develop professionally. Vendors were on hand to share new products and services that may benefit the cities operational efficiency.

KTLO News caught up with Mayor Hillary Adams Friday during the closing sessions of this years convention. The Mayor says that it’s been another productive convention for city staff.

A focus on changes in state legislation was a large part of the proceedings this year.

As a smaller community, Mountain Home continues to draw a lot of attention statewide with its many initiatives and continued growth even when compared to larger cities.

The Mayor reported that 3 members of the city council, police chief, city clerk, public works director, parks director, treasurer and grant writers had all been in Little Rock this week participating in the convention.
