Mountain Home Public Schools announce back-to-school dates, details for 2025-26 year

Mountain Home Public Schools are preparing for the start of a new academic year, with administrators releasing a video this week outlining key dates and information for families.

-All school buildings will host an open house on Thursday, Aug. 7, from 1 to 7 p.m.

-The first day of school is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 12.

-Back-to-school letters for students in kindergarten through fifth grade will be mailed by Aug. 4. Parents are encouraged to contact their child’s school to ensure their email address is up to date.

-Mountain Home Kindergarten will once again implement the alternate start dates. Boys will attend on Tuesday, Aug. 12, and girls on Wednesday, Aug. 13. All kindergartners will begin attending together on Thursday, Aug. 14. Parents with questions are asked to contact the kindergarten office directly at 870-425-1256.

-Parking passes for Mountain Home High School students are available now for $5 at the high school office.

-All Arkansas students will receive free breakfast this year. Families can apply for reduced-price lunches online at ezmealapp.com.

-School supplies will be provided for all students this year. Students are only required to bring a backpack and, if needed, a lunchbox.

-Parents planning to use district transportation must complete the transportation form online by clicking here or by calling 870-425-1240 for assistance.
