Bomber Tennis takes 5 of 6, Lady Bombers win 7 of 9

It was a fun afternoon at Legacy Racquet Club for the Bombers and Lady Bombers on Tuesday. Mountain Home had a successful day in both boys and girls. The Bombers won 5 of their 6 matches against the Patriots. In Singles Landon Horne defeated White 8-0, Oakley Recktenwald defeated Mann of Marion 8-0, Riley Edwards beat Elijah Grace in an intersquad game 8-6, and Marion’s lone singles win was against Hayden Drake who was defeated 8-5. In doubles Strat Rucker/ben Souder defeated Ervin/Pillard 8-0, Max Goodwin/Nathan Mooney defeated Phillips/Mann 8-1, Rucker/Souder also took on White/Mann and won 8-5, the final two matches were intersquad matches. Max Goodwin/Nathan Mooney were defeated by Chandler Jones/Anthony Jones 4-8, and Rhys Hammonds/Luke Hilvert lost to Alex Chafin/Brooks Barber by the score of 8-6.The Lady Bombers had a strong showing as well winning 7 of their 9 matches. In singles Mary Charles McConnel and Allsion Decker won their matches 8-0, McConnell also defeated Riedl of Marion 8-2, London Teague was defeated by the score of 5-8. The final 2 singles matches were intersquad matches that saw Emma Fowler defeat Maggie Norcross 6-2 and saw Hadley Goodwin defeat Shelby McBride 6-1. In doubles Kiana Talbot/Devon Sussman won their match 8-3, Jentry Souder/Sienna Reed won 8-4,London Teague/Addison Decker won 8-4, Maggie Norcross/Shelby McBride won their match 6-4, and the lone win for Marion came against Hadley Goodwin/Emma Fowler by the score of 8-4.

The next match for the Bombers tennis squads are scheduled for September 9th against Batesville at Legacy Racquet Club in Mountain Home.
