
The court will review and act on several financial measures, including ordinances appropriating $8,493 in fees and reimbursements to the sheriff’s office for September, $30,000 from the Emergency 911 fund to support the county’s 911 operations, and $24,500 from the K-9 fund for the sheriff’s canine program. Officials will also consider levying millage taxes on political subdivisions for 2025 and adopting the county budget for the 2026 fiscal year.
A resolution declaring a vacancy in the office of the Baxter County coroner is also on the agenda.
The court is expected to confirm multiple appointments to local fire protection boards. Reappointments include Jeff Berry, Julie Moody, and Mari Ruegsegger to the Rodney-Jordan Volunteer Fire Protection District Board of Commissioners; Will Gregory and Kevin Bodenhamer to the Mountain Home Rural Fire Protection District Board; and William Harakidas to the Midway Fire Protection District Board. Ryan Wayland is slated for a new appointment to the Midway board.
