The Baxter County Library Foundation has received a $10,000 donation from the Friends of the Baxter County Library to support the Library Hill Trail Project, bringing the vision of a walking and biking trail connecting the Donald W. Reynolds Library to the community closer to reality.
The planned Library Hill Trail will create a safe and accessible outdoor space for walking, biking and nature exploration while promoting health and wellness for residents and visitors.
“The Friends of the Library have always been steadfast supporters of the Library’s mission,” said Adeana Estoll, foundation coordinator for the Baxter County Library Foundation. “Their incredible generosity continues to make projects like the Library Hill Trail possible, ensuring the Library remains a vibrant hub for learning and connection both inside and outside its walls.”
Established in 1980, the Friends of the Baxter County Library have contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars toward library programs, equipment and special projects. Their latest gift continues that tradition of community support and investment.
The Library Hill Trail Project is an initiative of the Baxter County Library Foundation, which is actively raising funds to supplement an Arkansas Department of Transportation Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) grant covering 80% of the project cost.
