A high-energy holiday musical packed with tap dancing, beatboxing, and audience participation is set to hit The Sheid on Tuesday, Dec. 2.
Who Brought the Humbug?, presented by the Coulter Holiday Endowment, begins at 7, with a patron reception scheduled for 6. The all-ages show is staged as an ugly sweater party and features singers, dancers, musicians, tap performers, and beatboxers in a fast-paced, interactive production.
The story follows two performers who turn into detectives after discovering someone brought a “Humbug” to the celebration. The musical includes scenes such as a beatboxing spin on The Grinch, a 90s-inspired “Ghost of Parties Past,” and a musical chairs showdown called “Chairol of the Bells,” leading up to a finale titled “The Holiday Funk.”
Tickets are $45 for adults and $22.50 for students. Entrances will be open on College Street and Wade Street. Tickets can be purchased by calling 870-508-6280.
