A Mountain Home man, previously convicted for threatening to harm people, has been arrested again for saying he was going to kill his girlfriend. Forty-one-year-ole Duane Mark Dean Jr. is facing two charges for his latest incident.According to the probable cause affidavit from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Dean’s girlfriend said he threatened to take her and her sister’s lives. The victim told investigators Dean had been sending her text messages and leaving her voicemails saying he was going to do harm to her.

In one of the texts, he sent a photo of a gun and said “I got bullets.” Another said “Ur gonna die if U come back here.”

The victim left the area out of fear Dean would harm her.

Dean was charged with a felony count of first degree terroristic threatening and a misdemeanor charge of harassing communications. He also faces a penalty enhancement for being a habitual offender. The affidavit notes Dean has seven prior felony convictions. Dean is free after posting $7,500 bond.
