Fulton County man arrested for assaulting, threatening to kill girlfriend

A Fulton County man has been arrested for assaulting and threatening to kill his girlfriend. Thirty-nine-year-old Corey Michael Brewer of Viola is facing two felony charges for Nov. 17 incident.According to the probable cause affidavit from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, the victim told a deputy she was at Brewer’s house when he punched her several times in the head. He then got her on the ground and choked her until she could not breathe. The victim said Brewer told her if she called anyone, he would shoot and kill her.

Brewer is facing felony charges of aggravated assault on a family or household member and terroristic threatening. He is free from jail after posting $5,000 bond.

Court records show the victim had filed for an order of protection from Brewer in May, but four days later withdrew her request. She filed for another order of protection following the attack this month.
