Full slate for area basketball Saturday; Lead Hill, Izard County look to stay hot at home

High school basketball is set for a full slate on Saturday across the region.SENIOR BOYS

In senior boys’ action, Lead Hill puts its 9-3 record on the line when the Tigers welcome 6-3 Huntsville for a 10:30 tip.

Izard County, sitting at 3-2, will host Springdale, which has played just two games and comes in at 1-1.

Yellville-Summit is 4-2 on the season, and the Panthers will match up with Galena at 2:30.

Green Forest, currently 2-6, will wrap up the day at home with a 7:30 contest against 2-7 Omaha.

SENIOR GIRLS

On the girls’ side, Lead Hill goes in at 5-6 as the Lady Tigers take on Huntsville, which is 3-4.

Yellville-Summit’s girls are 3-6 as they hit the road for Kingston, and the Lady Yellowjackets come in at 7-7.

Jasper, off to a strong start at 10-5, will travel to Quitman to face a 9-1 Lady Bulldogs squad.

Green Forest stands at 4-2 and will host Mount Judea, which enters the matchup at 3-4.
