The latest Arkansas Sports Media boys’ high school basketball poll features several north-central Arkansas programs either earning statewide recognition or positioned just outside the rankings as the season moves toward the holiday break.

In Class 3A, Bergman continues to lead the area with a No. 2 statewide ranking. The Panthers, now 13-1, received two first-place votes and remain one of the highest-rated teams in the region. Flippin also appears in the 3A poll, tied for fifth at 11-4 after another strong week on the court.

Osceola holds the top spot in Class 3A.

In Class 1A, Jasper stands out for the local region, coming in at No. 3 with a 12-2 record. The Pirates trail only Earle and Blevins in the statewide listings. Nevada and County Line round out the top five.

Calico Rock received votes in Class 1A, signaling early-season momentum, while Lead Hill also picked up votes.

While not ranked this week, several other Twin Lakes and surrounding-area programs remain competitive early in the season. Yellville-Summit, Norfork, Cotter, Harrison, Izard County and Viola were not included in the poll but continue to navigate their nonconference schedules ahead of the intensity of conference play. Poll voters also recognized a handful of other northern Arkansas teams, including Greene County Tech and West Fork, showing the depth of basketball talent across the region.

The poll is voted on by sports media members statewide for games played through Dec. 6.
