Two killed, four injured in 5-vehicle crash north of Harrison Friday afternoon

Two people were killed and four were injured in a five-vehicle crash north of Harrison Friday afternoon. The Arkansas State Police (ASP) has identified the victims as 30-year-old Breonna M. Martin and 69-year-old James E. Ramsey, both of Harrison.Injured were 51-year-old Joshua E. Massengale of Harrison; 18-year-old Hayden T. Martin of Harrison; 52-year-old Christopher R. Langley of Greenbrier; and 28-year-old Brock D. Andreasen of Jefferson City, Missouri.

According to the preliminary report from the ASP, the accident happened when a vehicle driven by Langley was northbound on the highway and crossed the turn lane and entered the southbound lanes and struck a vehicle driven by Massengale, with Ramsey as a passenger. Massengale’s vehicle was then hit by Hayden Martin’s vehicle. Langley’s vehicle continued on and struck Breonna Martin’s vehicle. After the impact, Breonna Martin’s vehicle then hit Andreasen’s vehicle.

The preliminary report says two of the injured were airlifted to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, but did not indicate which two. It did not say if the other two injured were taken to the hospital.

The accident happened on U.S Highway 65 north of Harrison at 4:50 last Friday afternoon.
