
It was a busy Friday night on the hardwood for area teams, with several strong performances on both the boys and girls sides.
SENIOR BOYS
On the senior boys side, the Battle for Marion County went to Flippin, as the Bobcats improved to 13-4 with a 75-60 win over Yellville-Summit, which drops to 7-4.
Lead Hill stayed hot, moving to 13-3 after an 87-50 road win over Founders Classical. Noah Royce led the Tigers with 19 points, while Hunter Rogers added 16. Dawson Lively turned in an impressive triple-double with 13 points, 10 assists and 10 steals and Logan Henson chipped in 11.
Calico Rock, now 11-3, handled Viola 69-38, while Jasper improved to 14-2 with a convincing 74-13 win over the School for Advanced Studies.
Bergman picked up another quality victory, taking down Hooks 86-59 to move to 15-2 on the year.
Izard County battled but came up short against Sloan-Hendrix, falling 57-47, and Harrison dropped a tough one on the road at Rogers, 70-33.
Valley Springs edged Salem 56-51 in a close contest.
SENIOR GIRLS
In senior girls action, Viola picked up a nice road win, defeating Calico Rock 49-29 to improve to 9-5.
Melbourne continued its strong run, knocking off previously unbeaten Heber Springs 62-45.
Yellville-Summit also had a big night, rolling past Flippin 45-22.
Bergman survived a tight one at home, edging Batesville 66-63, while Harrison earned a 64-39 win over Clinton.
Salem picked up a solid victory over Valley Springs, 51-43.
Marshall beat Tuckerman 60-47, and Izard County came up just short against Sloan-Hendrix, falling 58-55.
