Man charged in connection with missing Pine Bluff woman

The Pine Bluff Police Department confirmed Sunday that charges have been filed against 31-year-old Tony Thompson Jr. in connection with the disappearance of 43-year-old Joynell Brandon.

Thompson faces first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse charges, with bond set at $1 million. Brandon was last heard from on May 13, when she sent a text asking her family to leave the door open because she would be home later that night. She never returned, and phone and text contact with her stopped completely.
