An Izard County man has been arrested in Sharp County for internet stalking of a child and fourth degree sexual assault. Twenty-eight-year-old Gregory Woolsey of Franklin is being held in the Sharp County Jail in Ash Flat.According to the probable cause affidavit from the Sharp County Sheriff’s Office, Woolsey portrayed himself as an 18-year-old to hang out with a group of teenagers, including the 15-year-old female victim. It’s alleged Woolsey on a later date inappropriately touched the victim and then started “spamming” her with messages, including nude photos, through the social media app Snapchat.
During an interview with investigators, Woolsey admitted to sending numerous messages and photos, but said he thought the victim was 18.
Woolsey’s bond is set at $50,000.
