Flippin takes down Thayer, Bergman girls lose heart-breaker to Earle

It was a busy Tuesday night on the high school hardwood with plenty of action on both the boys and girls sides.

SENIOR BOYS
In senior boys play, Bergman continued its strong season, rolling past Marshall 79-39 to improve to 19-4, while Marshall dropped to 1-12.

Melbourne handed Sloan-Hendrix just its second loss of the year, winning 74-55 as Melbourne moved to 8-6 and Sloan-Hendrix slipped to 17-2.

Viola picked up a 53-42 win over Lutie to move to 5-17.

Flippin improved to 18-4 with a 67-56 victory over Thayer, which remains winless at 0-4.

Salem picked up its first win of the season, knocking off Midland 58-35 to move to 1-8, while Midland fell to 0-12.

Harrison came up short at Vilonia, falling 63-49 as the Goblins dropped to 4-9 and Vilonia improved to 10-3.

SENIOR GIRLS
On the senior girls side, Viola earned a 63-50 win over Cutter-Morning Star to move to 11-7 on the season.

Bergman nearly pulled off a big one but lost a close matchup with Earle, 64-62, dropping the Lady Panthers to 19-5 while Earle improved to 13-1.

Mountain View dominated Valley Springs 51-16, pushing the Lady Yellowjackets to 13-3 and handing Valley Springs its eighth loss of the year at 13-8.

Lead Hill fell to Mammoth Spring 54-37 as the Lady Tigers dropped to 9-10 and Mammoth Spring improved to 12-6.

Salem moved to 9-6 with a 44-32 win over McDonald County, which fell to 4-2.

Harrison was held to 33 points in a 43-33 loss to Branson, dropping to 10-4, while Melbourne continued its impressive run with a 56-26 win over Bigelow to improve to 15-1 on the season.
