A Newton County man has died from injuries he sustained last month when a deer struck him while he was riding a motorcycle. The Arkansas State Police (ASP) has identified the victim as 57-year-old Lloyd Dellbert Vaughn of Parthenon.According to the ASP report, the accident happened when a deer entered the roadway and struck Vaughn’s motorcycle.
Vaughn was taken to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield where he later died.
The accident happened Dec. 23 on Arkansas State Highway 123 in rural Newton County.
