Today is Election Day; polls open until 7:30

Tuesday is Election Day in Arkansas for the 2026 the Preferential Primary and Nonpartisan General Election.Polls open at 7:30 a.m. and will remain open until 7:30 p.m.

In Baxter County polls will be open at the Baxter County Training Center in Midway, Big Flat City Hall, East Side Baptist Church, First United Methodist Church, Henderson Fire Station, Lakeview Civic Center, Lone Rock Baptist Church, Norfork First Baptist Church, Salesville City Hall and the The Good Shepherd Methodist Church in Cotter.

KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot News will provide live area wide election night coverage beginning at 7:30 when polls close, with updates broadcast from the Baxter County Courthouse on KTLO FM 97.9, KTLO AM 1240, Classic Hits FM 101.7 and 99.7 FM The Boot. A live stream will be available on the stations’ Facebook pages and on YouTube at KTLOStreaming, with real time results posted at KTLO.com/ElectionResults.

Any races with more than two candidates where one candidate does not receive 50 percent of the vote plus one vote will
face off in a Runoff Election on March 31st.
