Families looking for nontraditional education for their children have a new option with the announcement of Cotter Public School’s Virtual Academy. Cotter joins a growing trend among area public schools like Mountain Home and Yellville-Summit to serve those who need the flexibility of learning from home but with the benefits of being connected to a larger school family.

With nearly twenty years of experience the district has selected Cotter educator Mrs. Keri Raycraft to spearhead the initiative as Director of the Virtual Academy. On a recent episode of KTLO’s Talk of the Town she shared that the academy has been designed to serve families who want the freedom of having their children at home but still connected to a larger school family.
