The Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team will face the Texas Longhorns Friday afternoon in the quarterfinal round of the SEC Tournament at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium.

First pitch is scheduled for 3 on SEC Network after seventh-seeded Arkansas advanced with an 8-4 win over Tennessee on Wednesday.

The probable pitching matchup features Arkansas left-hander Hunter Dietz against Texas right-hander Cody Howard.

Texas enters postseason play with more than 40 wins and is ranked among the top teams nationally in several categories, including RPI, strength of schedule and earned run average.

The Longhorns also feature one of the SEC’s top power-hitting lineups, led by Carson Tinney with 20 home runs and Aiden Robbins with 19.

Texas holds a 76-42 advantage in the all-time series against Arkansas.
