Beginning today, the Mountain Home Community Center is requiring any patron age 15 who wants to enter the community center without a guardian age 18 or older is now required to obtain a membership.
KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot News reached out to Director of Parks and Recreation Daniel Baxley as to why the recent change was made.
Baxley outlines the rules being instituted moving forward.
As parents look for summer activities for their children, Baxley reminds residents the city provides alternatives besides the community center for youth.
Hours of operation for the Mountain Home Community Center are Monday to Friday 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 9. The outdoor pool, diving and slide pool, lazy river and splash pad are open between noon and 9pm each day.
