The Missouri Department of Conservation is reminding deer, turkey, waterfowl and dove hunters that updated hunting regulations are now available ahead of the 2026 fall seasons.
The department has released its 2026 Fall Deer & Turkey Hunting Regulations and Information booklet along with the 2026-27 Migratory Bird and Waterfowl Hunting Digest, both of which are available anywhere permits are sold and online.
Among the most significant changes for deer hunters, the Chronic Wasting Disease Management Zone has been eliminated, although CWD regulations will continue to apply in certain counties. Mandatory CWD sampling remains in designated areas during the November firearms season, and the use of grain, salt, minerals and other consumable deer attractants is prohibited year-round in counties within 10 miles of a confirmed CWD detection.
Other changes include the elimination of the CWD firearms season, removal of the statewide antler-point restriction, updated conservation area regulations and an increase in permit prices.
Waterfowl and migratory bird hunters will also see higher permit prices, changes to duck hunting zone boundaries and new duck season date formulas for the 2026-2030 seasons. In addition, the Migratory Bird Hunting Permit has been divided into separate resident and nonresident permits.
The updated regulation booklets are available from permit vendors statewide and through the Missouri Department of Conservation’s website.
