A burn ban is now in effect across Boone County.
Boone County Judge Mitchell Archer announced the ban Tuesday, saying the decision was made after consultation with the county fire coordinator, Office of Emergency Management and the Arkansas Forestry Commission.
The burn ban is effective immediately and applies to all of Boone County.
