Baxter County Quorum Court set to consider budget appropriations, board appointment

The Baxter County Quorum Court will meet at 5:30 on Tuesday in the second-floor courtroom of the county courthouse.

Justices of the peace will consider several appropriation ordinances and one resolution during the meeting. Items on the agenda include measures to appropriate $6,876.70 in fees and reimbursements from August to the Sheriff’s Office 2025 budget, $10,619.33 from the County General Fund to the Juvenile Services 2025 budget, and $13,886.74 from the County General Fund to the Building and Grounds 2025 budget. The court will also consider appropriating $23,000 from the Special Jail Fees Fund and $6,000 from the County Detention Facility Fund into the Jail Maintenance and Operation Fund for 2025.

In addition, a resolution confirming the appointment of Bill Caller by the county judge to the Henderson Volunteer Fire Department Board of Commissioners will be presented.

The meeting is open to the public.
