A fire Saturday afternoon destroyed a house in southeastern Mountain Home. It was the second fire at the home in just over one year.

According to the report from the Mountain Home Fire Department, the home at 1114 Heatherdown Trail is owned by Deann Sullins with Aaron Stonelake as the occupant. No injuries were reported battling the blaze.

The report indicates when the first units arrived, they found heavy smoke coming out of the attic eaves and soffit and flames coming from the roof vents.

The call came in at 12:14 Saturday afternoon and firefighters were on the scene for three hours.

The blaze is under investigation according to the report.

It’s the second fire in just over one year at the house.

Mountain Home fire fighters were at the same house last October. That fire started in the ceiling above the kitchen with the home sustaining extensive fire, smoke and water damage.

No injuries were reported in that fire either.
