The Junior Bomb Squad (FIRST Tech Challenge Team 92) captured the championship at the Mountain Home Mayhem FTC Tournament on Dec. 13.
Team 92 was selected as the first pick by Murphy’s Law (Team 20087) to form the top-seeded alliance for the playoff rounds. The alliance advanced through the bracket and went on to claim the tournament title, earning Junior Bomb Squad the Winning Alliance – First Team Selected honor.
In addition to the championship, Junior Bomb Squad received the Control Award, which recognizes excellence in robot programming, sensor use, and software design, particularly in autonomous and controlled operation.
The finalist alliance was led by SeaCow² (Team 23050) with Root Negative One (Team 9879).
Junior Bomb Squad’s performance highlighted strong skills in coding, testing, and problem-solving as the team continues its FIRST Tech Challenge season.
