Colder winter temperatures often bring higher energy bills, but those who take steps to prepare can help lessen the strain on household budgets.

Often it’s not one large move that makes the difference but instead the implementation of multiple smaller changes to make a home more energy efficient. Many of these projects can be done by the homeowner for relatively low cost while others may involve the help of a local professional.
