AVAIO Digital Partners announced plans to build a major new data center hub in Pulaski County, marking what officials call the largest economic investment in Arkansas history.
The facility, named AVAIO Digital Leo, will be constructed in multiple phases on a 760-acre site with a first-phase investment of $6 billion and potential full development costs exceeding $21 billion. The project is expected to create more than 500 full-time jobs over the next five years, with thousands of additional positions during construction.
AVAIO has contracted with Entergy Arkansas for 150 megawatts of power but anticipates demand could reach up to 1 gigawatt as the campus grows. The center will feature water-efficient cooling, rainwater recapture, rooftop solar generation, and advanced cooling-system economization to reduce overall energy needs.
Construction on the first phase is set to begin in the first quarter of 2026 and is expected to be completed by June 2027.
“AVAIO Digital’s $6 billion data center hub represents the largest economic investment in Arkansas’ history and sets the Natural State up to become a technology powerhouse,” said Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
Mark McComiskey, CEO of AVAIO Digital, said the project will be “both a major pole of data center capacity and an engine of sustained economic and technological momentum for Arkansas” and thanked state and local partners for their support.
