
Arkansas Razorbacks men’s basketball used a balanced offensive attack and stifling defense to roll past LSU Tigers men’s basketball 91-62 Tuesday night, completing a season sweep of the Tigers.Darius Acuff Jr. scored 28 points, Meleek Thomas added 20 and Trevon Brazile recorded a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds to lead the 21st-ranked Razorbacks. Brazile also contributed five blocked shots and four steals in a dominant all-around performance.The 29-point margin ties for the 12th-largest victory in an SEC game in program history and ranks as the third-largest in a road SEC contest. Arkansas defeated LSU 85-81 in Fayetteville 17 days earlier.
With Saturday’s 88-68 win at Mississippi State, the Razorbacks have now won back-to-back SEC road games by at least 20 points for the first time since joining the league.
Arkansas led 42-27 at halftime, marking the fifth time this season it has held an opponent under 30 points in a half. The Razorbacks limited LSU with active hands and interior defense, setting the tone early.
Acuff continued his strong play against the Tigers, making 13 field goals for the second straight meeting. He scored a career-high 31 points in last month’s win over LSU and followed with 28 more in the rematch.
Arkansas returns home to face Auburn on Saturday at Bud Walton Arena. Tipoff is set for 7:30 and the game will be televised on ESPN.
