The Mountain Home Water Department will be cutting in a 16-inch insta-valve starting Tuesday that could cause some water pressures to be lower than normal.
The installation will allow repair of a leak on the water distribution system which occurred on the corner of Arkansas Avenue and Highway 201 North.
Alma Clark, Director of Water/Sewer for the City of Mountain Home, says this notice is for water customers on the 1080 pressure plain. Those customers include the areas north of Coley Drive and the 201 North Water Pump Station going toward Midway. It extends up Highway 201 North toward Kingswood Subdivision. Clark says these customters will still have water and will not be affected by cloudy water.
Clark says water will be completely shut off on Campbell Place and Campbell Drive. Those customers completely shut down for the valve installation and noticing cloudy water should flush their inside plumbing until it runs clear. Cloudy water indicates that there could be air in these lines due to water being shut off.
Clark says members of the department will work to complete this job as quickly as possible and appreciates the patience of their customers.
