Families looking for an easy flight option to the beach this summer can now take direct flights from Springfield to the Gulf.
Kicking off last week Allegiant Air launched a new nonstop service from Springfield-Branson National Airport to Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Flights will run twice a week, Mondays and Fridays, and introductory one-way fares start as low as $66.
