
Dr. Jennifer Wiseman of National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), will be speaking at Arkansas State University– Mountain Home (ASUMH) Friday morning from 10:00 until 11:00 and also at 1:00 in the afternoon. Dr. Wiseman’s talks are a part of the STREAM event happening at ASUMH. Dr. Wiseman’s talks and STREAM are free and open to the public.
Dr. Wiseman is a graduate of Mountain Home High School and has worked on the Hubble Telescope while at NASA. She will be speaking on “Stars, Planets, Galaxies, and Black Holes: Exploring the Universe with Science and Technology.”
Astronomy is the observation and study of everything in space, and today involves mathematics, physics, chemistry, geology, and even biology. Dr. Wiseman will talk about how telescopes are used to view the universe, and how science is helping discover and understand activity in the cosmos.
STREAM is a ASUMH event in celebration of the sciences and humanities.
The event will run from 9:00 in the morning until 2:00 in the afternoon on the ASUMH campus.
